What is Praluent?

Praluent is an injectable prescription drug that contains alirocumab, a human monoclonal antibody that belongs to a class of drugs called a proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin type 9 (PCSK9) inhibitor. It works by helping the liver reduce levels of LDL cholesterol in the blood.
