Hemabate contraindications - Who shouldn't take Hemabate?

  • This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to carboprost, you have heart, lung, kidney, or liver disease, or you have an infection of your uterus or cervix.

Hemabate warnings

  • Tell your doctor if you have a history of high or low blood pressure, anemia, asthma, diabetes, jaundice, epilepsy, or surgery on your uterus or cervix.

  • Bloody vomit or vomit that looks like coffee grounds

  • Chest pain, trouble breathing, lightheadedness, or fainting

  • Fever or chills

  • Fast heartbeat

  • Menstrual-type pain, continued vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge

  • Problems with walking, balance, hearing, or vision

  • Uterine contractions (labor pains)
