What are the side effects of Coxanto?
Common side effects of Coxanto include nausea, diarrhea or constipation, indigestion, and rash.
Serious allergic reactions or skin reactions may occur. People with symptoms such as hives, trouble breathing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat should get emergency medical attention. Those with symptoms such as fever, sore throat, burning eyes, skin pain, red or purple rash, or blistering or peeling skin should get emergency medical help.
Coxanto has a black box warning, the most serious warning required by the FDA. The warning states that NSAIDs, such as Coxanto, can increase the risk of cardiovascular events, like heart attack and stroke, which could be serious and cause death. They can also increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers (sores), and perforations (holes), which could be serious and cause death.

Are there any known interactions or contraindications with Coxanto?

You should not take Coxanto if you are allergic or have a history of asthma or hives after taking oxaprozin, aspirin, or any NSAIDs. Also, people with certain medical conditions such as heart problems, severe kidney disease, or gastrointestinal problems should not take Coxanto.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your healthcare provider for medical advice. Coxanto generally should not be used after 20 weeks of pregnancy and should not be used after 30 weeks.
